As a part of our academic curriculum, the TY B.Sc. IT and SY B.Sc. IT
students visited the National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC), ISRO, Hyderabad to
gain practical exposure to satellite technology and remote sensing
applications. 45 students with 2 teachers visited the centre.
The experts demonstrated how satellite
images are received, analyzed, and interpreted using advanced software and
ground stations. The interaction session helped us clarify our doubts and
understand the real-time applications of space technology. Overall, the visit
was highly informative and enhanced our practical knowledge, linking
theoretical concepts with real-world implementation.
Learning Outcomes:
1.
Gained practical understanding of satellite technology and remote
sensing systems used by NRSC, ISRO.
2.
Learned the process of receiving, processing, and interpreting satellite
imagery using advanced software tools.
3.
Understood the role of ground stations in real-time data acquisition and
satellite communication.
4.
Developed awareness of real-world applications of remote sensing in
areas such as weather monitoring, agriculture, and disaster management.
5.
Enhanced ability to correlate theoretical concepts learned in class with
practical, real-world implementation.
