TECHNO HUNT
This event was organized by the Computer Science Department with a focus to draw attention towards Programming Languages in Computer Science. The event made the students to find out a clue which was hidden in the code as well as in the errors occurred in the program given. With the time constraints given to the students to Hunt for the clues it was a very competitive.
MATH WONDER
This event was organized by Computer Science Department on a large scale for the entire college which was an exhibition on Different types of Numbers in the world of Mathematics .Students made charts, models and games based on the topics which they were allotted to make their presentations more outstanding than the others. It was an innovative approach to make people understand and get to know about the so many different forms of numbers available in the world of Mathematics.
READY, STEADY, VOTE
In collaboration with the NGO VOICE, the College organised a seminar for First time Voters on 2nd April 2014.The seminar consisted of a talk by Dr Radhakrishnan Pillai on unique features related to Indian Democracy, three skits played by students of various courses and conduct of Mock Parliament. Students of various departments took the opportunity to get their doubts related to the voting process cleared through officials of Election Commission who were present for the occasion. The students availed with demonstration of electronic voting machine and told about the procedures of elections through electronic voting. The seminar ended with passing of a resolution and oath committing to vote.
WOMEN'S DEVELOPMENT CELL
This year the theme of WDC was women Empowerment. WDC has moved one step ahead in this regime by arranging Self- Defence Programme for girls under the guidance of Kickboxing Expert Ms.Priyanka Kadam .There were two batches for these sessions. WDC also arranged one rally on Women Empowerment from Mulund College of Commerce to RPF Ground. Almost 300 students participated in rally along with placards and banner flashing messages about women safety and their empowerment.
YOGA WORKSHOP
A week long 'YOGA WORKSHOP' was conducted for the benefit of all the teaching and non teaching staff in the college auditorium from14-04-2014 to 19-04-2014.All participants were greatly benefited from various asanas, pranayams and relaxation techniques.
