The B.Sc. in Information Technology was introduced by University of Mumbai in 2001. It is a three year programme
comprising of six semesters with a total of 29 courses and a project. The programme includes various courses like
Communication skills, Programming from basic to advanced level, Electronics, Networking and Embedded Systems.
There is an ample job opportunity after the completion of the programme.
On completion of the programme the student can join the master's programme, M.Sc IT. M.Sc. IT is a two year
programme comprising of four semesters with a total of 16 courses and a project. The programme includes various
courses like Information Security, Software Testing, Advanced Databases, Embedded Systems, Ethical Hacking,
Virtualization and Cloud Computing. The students are prepared for the industry requirement.
Mulund College of Commerce was amongst the first colleges to start the course. B.Sc. IT and M.Sc. IT. Right from the
inception of the course, Mulund College of Commerce has produced ranker's at B.Sc IT and M.Sc IT. There are 120
seats for B.Sc IT and 40 for M.Sc IT at Mulund College of Commerce.
